Job Description

MERLIN1, a Part 135 passenger operator based in San Antonio, TX is offering up to a $15,000 signing bonus for Citation 650 PIC candidates to earn an average of $160,000 per year in cash compensation ($173,000 including benefits). The ideal candidate will have impeccable customer service skills, an understanding of business aviation, and a strong work ethic. Our 7-day-on / 4-day-off schedule allows for our pilots to spend a majority of their nights in their own bed. We bring our planes back to base on a majority of trips because most of our customers are based in San Antonio. Our average duty day is less than 8 hours. We are serious about customer service and do require a close attention to details from all of our pilots.

Essential functions

  • Keep safety (1A) and customer comfort (1B) on your mind at all times.
  • Flight plan for safe operation of our program and charter flights.
  • Check weather, weight and balance, NOTAMS, and supplies.
  • Supervise and accept responsibility for the second-in-command
  • Follow company procedures for pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight.
  • Complete company paperwork as required and familiarize yourself with the Company systems.
  • Travel as required.

Qualifications

  • Must possess an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) license.
  • Minimum of 2,000 hours total.
  • Minimum of 750 hours twin turbine time.
  • Citation 650 type rating is a plus.
  • Must be a detail oriented, self-starter and able to work with little supervision while maintaining goals/tasks
  • Must have communication skills and be able to effectively communicate in a professional manner with customers and coworkers.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while managing time in a proficient and effective manner
  • Must possess sound reasoning skills and have the ability to follow directions.
  • Ability to comprehend, remember, and follow verbal and written directions and comply with Company policies, procedures and standards.

Compensation

Job Description

The A&P Mechanic / Technician is responsible for inspections and repairs of aircraft, hangars and ground support equipment while complying with all federal regulations and the Company’s Operations Specifications.

Essential functions

  • Must be able to troubleshoot electrical systems and avionics
  • Ensure that all maintenance and hangar related work is accomplished with the highest regard to safety and quality of workmanship.
  • Accomplish all calendar and hourly inspections required by the airframe, engine or vendor manufacturer as described in the maintenance manuals.
  • Complete preflight and post flight inspections per Company inspections forms.
  • Accomplish time change item requirements per airframe, engine or vendor manufacturer.
  • Evaluate, diagnose and repair all flight related, preflight or post flight related squawks.
  • Ensure that all maintenance and hangar related work is accomplished with the highest regard to safety and quality of workmanship
  • Accomplish all calendar and hourly inspections required by the airframe, engine or vendor manufacturer as described in the maintenance manuals
  • Complete preflight and post flight inspections per Company inspections forms
  • Accomplish time change item requirements per airframe, engine or vendor manufacturer
  • Evaluate, diagnose and repair all flight related, preflight or post flight related squawks
  • Ensure maintenance manual revisions are accomplished and kept up to date

Qualifications

  • Highly skilled in electrical systems and avionics troubleshooting
  • Must possess a Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Powerplant certificate (A&P license)
  • Minimum three years of experience in similar position
  • Expertise in light or mid-size jets. Specific expertise in Lear 35, Lear 40/45, Citation 650, and TFE-731 engines preferred.
  • Must possess a High School diploma
  • Must be a detail oriented, self-starter and able to work with little supervision while maintaining goals/tasks
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate in a professional manner with staff, management, customers and vendors
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while managing time in a proficient and effective manner
  • Must have strong analytical skills and be able to make complex decisions while keeping the department’s and Company’s philosophies and goals in mind
  • Must possess sound reasoning skills and have the ability to follow directions
  • Ability to walk on uneven ground (gravel, rocks, mounds, ice)
  • Wear personal protective equipment, including but not limited to hard hat, steel-toed safety shoes, hearing protection, respirators, safety glasses, goggles and full body harness
